Rich History, Genuine Hospitality
The seal was designed to depict a perpetual representation of Rio Grande City and to establish an identity while focusing on the constant features that have molded  the community, that have been embraced by its inhabitants, and that existed when it was established, exist today, and will continue to exist in the future.

The seal was likewise explicitly designed to possess a distinguished and stately presence in a simplistic manner and to not only depict obvious distinguishable representations, but also create curiosity and attract interest in the viewer through specific symbolism.
