Mission

The mission of the Rio Grande City Municipal Court is to protect the rights and liberties of the general public in a professional, impartial and efficient manner.

Functions

The Municipal Court shall:

1. Exercise jurisdiction as set out in 29.003 Government Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure;

2. File all reports and remit all costs required by law; and

3. File with the City Administrator a detailed monthly summary of all activities of the Court.
